This disk contains the Beta Version (0.92) DynaLink program for installing the
flicker free parameters for your ProDesigner/e and ProDesigner II. The
DynaLink can also be used to center the screen in high resolution modes to
tailor for your monitor.
To install the Dynalink on your hard disk, copy the necessary files from the
floppy diskette to the hard disk. Use the DOS COPY command to copy the
following files:
STD_MODE.DAT
DynaLink.COM
If you have a ProDesigner/e with Bios Version 1.x, copy the following file
from the floppy drive to your Hard drive:
EXT_MOD1.DAT
For the ProDesigner/e with BIOS Version 2.x, copy the following file from the
floppy drive to your Hard drive:
EXT_MOD2.DAT
If you have a ProDesigner II with Bios Version 3.x, copy the following file
from drive A to your Hard drive:
EXT_MOD3.DAT
For the ProDesigner II with BIOS Version 4.x, copy the following file from
drive A to your Hard drive:
EXT_MOD4.DAT
NOTE: The BIOS Version is displayed on the ORCHID LOGO boot-up message.
You can then install the DynaLink by typing the command:
DYNALINK -i <drive>
Please refer to section below for details explanation of the parameters.
REQUIREMENT:
1. For ProDesigner II you will need the BIOS version 3.1 or above.
2. To run the flicker free 800x600 in 70Hz with the ProDesigner/e, you must
have 512k of video card memory.
DynaLink Screen Parameters:
----------------------------------
DynaLink.Com can be called with these parameters:
-i <drive> : Install the DynaLink.Com and modify the autoexec.bat file in
the specified drive.
-u <drive> : Uninstall DynaLink.Com from the Autoexec.bat file
(automatically delete the "DynaLink -on" line from the
Autoexec.bat file).
-on : Load the DynaLink flicker free Parameter into memory.
Remember that DynaLink must be installed prior to using this
command (DynaLink -i) to insure that the proper Ext_Modx.Dat
file is accessed.
-off : Reset to the standard ProDesigner (II or /e) BIOS Parameter.
If, for some reason, you have problems running a particular
program you may want to use the original ProDesigner (II or
/e) BIOS parameter. The "DynaLink -off" parameter will
turn off the flicker free parameters with parameters in the
BIOS.
-s : This is the DynaLink status flag. It will report any optional
flicker free parameters that have been installed.
